"Hi everyone, if you are a survivor reading this then I am sorry for the events that brought you here.
As a victim of abuse for almost 21 years myself, I suffered under the silence and sometimes the incompetence of those that were supposed to aid me. I found that no one understood me, and that I found no help. I realise now that part of that was perception on my part, but since I broke free I have found there is still need of people standing up and saying “hey, wait up a minute” because despite many good intentions mistakes are still made daily.
I have always had this in mind, the official “launch” of our campaign was today but the idea has been ripening for a long time. It took some time to find my bearings but thanks to my wonderful support team I am now able to start working on my own project: making noise where abusers would keep us all silent.
We are not here to give you a voice, we are here to make sure your voice simply gets heard, and to maybe help make changes. The statistics are horrendous, every victim is a victim too much and there is still room for improvement. As we speak, we are working on expanding our resource network, many have shown interest and so hopefully as we grow we will be able to draw on many peoples expertise and help.
We are not and probably never will be a charity. However we strive to signpost to charities that are worth donating to and will post suggestions every once in a while. We are not making any money off this, just here to help. Some ideas are already being worked on
Please, if you need help, reach out. We are here, to simply support, to help you find your way, to listen, to offer whatever you need. If you would like us to support your ideas, tell us! We are only a click away!
Lets make some noise together!"
