If you require services outside of these areas please contact the national domestic abuse helpline on 0808 2000 247 who will be able to locate services for you where you live. **Please note, if you require immediate advice or assistance you need to call the WMWA 24hr domestic abuse helplines on 0800 980 3331 or 0800 783 1359**" "West Mercia Women's Aid now employs 44 staff and 12 volunteers, running a 24-hour helpline, 3 refuges and a well-developed and expanding outreach service in each county, which includes the provision of community support to families in all three counties, group programmes and links to education and employment opportunities, as well as Independent Domestic Violence Advisor services in all three counties. WMWA is an active member of the County Domestic Violence Forums, Safeguarding Children Boards and other relevant multi-agency groups, working to increase the safety of victims and survivors and reduce societal tolerance of domestic violence. WMWA is a full member of the Women’s Aid Federation of England, and the Chief Executive, Jan Frances, was Chair of the WA National Board of Management for 4 years between 1998 and 2002, and continues to serve as a member of the National Board." | |
